Spring News From MyDirectives
The past few months have been important ones for MyDirectives. We announced important new relationships with Humana, Cerner and Coordinated Care Oklahoma from the floor of the 40,000+ HIMSS show in Chicago.
Exclusively available in the Apple app store, we launched our MyDirectives MOBILE™ App at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco by asking all 5,000 executives: “Who’s Your Agent?” We are proud to be a part of Apple Health, as consumers can easily add video messages and digitally sign their advance care plans. We are flattered with comments from the MyDirectives community on this disruptive improvement to emergency and critical care as our App makes key elements of advance directives accessible even when a user’s iPhone is locked – which could be life-changing as paramedics and ER doctors access one’s wishes during a crisis. Geolocation services add an important level of security that paper-based documents are unable to solve.
Media coverage: Through a cover story in Modern Healthcare to features in Politico, items in Forbes and Consumer Reports, and an opinion piece by Jeff published in the New York Times, MyDirectives is proving that a new day for advance care planning is here.
Speaking of a “new day,” April 16 was National Healthcare Decisions Day. We are proud of Nathan Kottkamp and everyone at NHDD that has made this day a focal point for so many people to get their voices heard!
