One of PC Magazine's 100 Best Just Got Better

At MyDirectives, we continue to try and raise the bar on great advance care planning. Together with our hospital and health industry partners, we’re helping consumers create great quality directives that are available to you, your family and friends, and your doctors 24/7.

The new look to our site takes our award-winning Universal Advance Digital Directive to a more efficient and consumer-friendly level. We’ve upgraded some new mobile features and technology to make it easier for hospitals to connect and find your directive. As always, creating your directive is FREE and only takes a couple clicks.

We’ve updated our videos, discussion guides and resources to help you create the best directive you can -- one that truly reflects your thoughts and your voice. We’ve added some great new books to our resource list (for example, Kitchen Table Wisdom (something we’re a big believer in!) by Rachel Naomi Remen and great books by Dr. Monica Williams-Murphy and her husband Kristian Murphy, as well as a book by Dr. Dan Morhaim) to help you talk to your loved ones and your doctors and get the ball rolling on this important conversation. And as always, we’ll continue to update you via our blog on all the exciting news coming from the world of advance care planning, and share stories of real people that we think you might find interesting.

When former Senate Majority Leader (and esteemed cardiac surgeon) Bill Frist endorsed MyDirectives earlier this year, he said:

During a medical crisis, the more information physicians have, the better choices they can make. Advance directives ensure that patients’ wishes are known to their doctors and their families. The innovation and access that MyDirectives.com offers — well in advance of a crisis — means that a patient's medical wishes, healthcare priorities, and important documents are available to care providers and families when they need them most.

We thank Dr. Frist and all the doctors, nurses and consumers that have given us the feedback we need to keep innovating. With consumers in all 50 states and over 20 countries around the world, MyDirectives is the world leader. While we work to advance the field of advance care planning -- we are motivated by the creative and unique ways you’re using MyDirectives. Keep it up and let us know what you think about our new and improved site!
