Zach's Song

This incredibly moving video of 18-year-old Zach Sobiech has popped up in my Facebook newsfeed multiple times now, and I can’t help but watch it every time.

Zach was diagnosed with a rare cancer when he was 14 years old. After battling the cancer for most of his teen years, doctors felt there wasn’t anything more they could do. Rather than withdraw, Zach courageously composed a song to say good-bye to his family and friends.  Zach’s song has been viewed more than 5.4 million times, and spawned tribute videos, including one with celebrities.

Here’s more about this incredible young man:

Video is a powerful way to leave behind a message for your loved one, which is why we felt it was so important to include on MyDirectives.

Wow....a joyous song about dying! And why not.....none of us is guaranteed a long life on this earth. Make it count. Say what you want to say, do it the way you want, if at all possible. ga
