Going Online for Our Health

Who can remember life before the Internet?

We go online to do our banking and investments, arrange our travel, to watch TV, shop, socialize and, according to a new Pew Research study, we use the internet to learn about our health.

Pew finds that nearly six out of ten Americans are turning to the Internet for health information. Additionally, about a third of adults say they have gone online at one time or another to figure out what medical condition they or someone else might have.

That’s why MyDirectives has partnered with Dr. Oz and Jeff Arnold’s Sharecare, to help people find accurate information about something very important: advance care

Sharecare allows people to ask, learn and act upon questions of health and wellness, creating an active community where knowledge is shared and put into practice.

Find us on Sharecare here, and learn more about the new partnership here.

How often do you research medical conditions online? Join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
